About the role
As the Tunnel Supervisor you will deliver the project within the guidelines of Ventia's standard business practices and contractual obligations with a strong focus on client and key stakeholder relationships and all quality and safety standards are met. Key accountabilities include aspects in -
- HSE Management - contributing to a "Safety and Health above all else" culture, ensuring policies / procedures / legislative requirements are met, monitoring performance, ensuring contractors / staff are appropriately trained and inducted and risk assessments / analysis are completed
- Subcontractor / Direct Labour Management - ensure they are managed to meet project objectives, compliance and performance requirements through monitoring and reporting on quality output of work team ensuring all corrective actions are taken and drive continuous improvements where applicable
- Planning & Scheduling - plan and schedule own and teams work to meet timelines and outputs by prioritising activities against the daily program, directing staff and liaison with project staff, and ensuring necessary equipment is available to meet objectives
- Reporting - ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained, reporting daily site events, progress reports and maintaining Asset Management System
- Client Focus & Teamwork - build and maintain productive stakeholder relationships, clarify needs to deliver outcomes, communicating regularly on progress and issues. Contribute to an effective and productive team, demonstrated through your personal behaviour, commitment, and drive to succeed in delivering positive outcomes
About you
It is essential that you have experience in a similar role with an electrical or mechanical background (tunnel network experience is highly regarded).
- Electrical (technical) or HVAC Trade qualification
- High Voltage Switching & Maintenance operation (desirable)
- Current drivers' licence
- Strong planning, organisation and communication skills
- Develop and maintain sound professional relationships
