Under the direction of the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and Head Curator, the Turf Tradesperson will be responsible for maintenance and preparation of the sporting facilities, including synthetic surfaces (hockey/tennis), ovals management (3 x fields), turf centre wicket and practice net preparation along with surrounding area maintenance.The role will involve:

• Assisting the Curator in the preparation of all sports ovals and playing surfaces as required to a high standard
• Setting up all sporting facilities with nets, padding, line marking and associated work in preparation for APS sport
• Maintenance/preparation of turf wickets along with game day preparation for APS cricket
• Turf management duties required to prepare and maintain grounds and outdoor facilities to an excellent level
• All Turf management practices including cultural management practices, spraying and cylinder mowing
• Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours

Skills and Experience

• Certificate in Sports Turf Management or undertaking an apprenticeship in Sports Turf Management, will be looked upon favourably
• Hold or willing to obtain an Employment Working with Childrens check
