Come work at our well-established, large scale Plutonic Gold Mine, which produces between 1 and 1.5 million tonne per year. Departing from Perth you'll fly directly to Plutonic arriving within 90 minutes of departure. Once on site you are accommodated in a well-established camp with great fresh food, a substantial gym, squash courts, multipurpose court, swimming pool and modern ensuite permanent rooms.
The Role
Come and be a part of the Maintenance team of over 60+ people with combined underground experience spanning over 80+ years. working a roster of 7 days on 7 days or 14 days on 14 days off working nightshift, dayshift.
Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, our Underground Fitters are responsible for quality preventative, Planned and breakdown maintenance services to our heavy mobile fleet, including Sandvik jumbo’s DD421, Solo DL432i, TH663i trucks, LH517i and LH621i loaders, Atlas MT65 Trucks, CAT R1300, R1700, R2900, 988K Loaders, Normet 1614B charge rigs and Volvo L120F IT’s.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Recognised Australian Heavy Diesel Trade Certificate.
- Recognised OEM and or 3rd party training and diagnostic skills
- Proven mentoring and mine site experience in an underground environment.
- Previous Experience on Sandvik, CAT and Epiroc Equipment.
- Quality workmanship with excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
- Strong knowledge of Sandvik Vodia, Cat SIS and diagnostics systems
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- Highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Ability to work in a team environment with a positive work ethic
- Current "C" Class WA Drivers Licence.
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
The Plutonic Camp is situated just 5 minutes away from the Maintenance Department boasting an impressive 6 bay steel structured HD workshop with 2 x overhead cranes and a Pit, $4+ Million worth of parts situated in the middle of the workshop with easy access. There is also a separate Light Vehicle workshop, with a separate boilermaker workshop attached. The Dewatering department have a standalone workshop and laydown area off to the side of the main workshop.
You will receive on-going training and mentoring provided for the successful candidate who is keen to develop their skills with the opportunity for career progression.
