Job description

No matter what position you hold within Maskill, it is important and you are a valued team member.

If you're reading this, and you think “ This job doesn't really sound like something I would enjoy but I'll apply anyway because I need a job" we suggest you find something else to apply for because we only want people who are all in and super keen on the position we have on offer.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to growth, we have a permanent, full-time Undercarriage Assembly Worker position available for a reliable worker with a strong work ethic, to undertake assembly and process work within our modern Toowoomba Workshop.

As an Undercarriage Assembly Worker you are the backbone of our production and crucial to Maskill maintaining it's reputation as Australia's leading specialist in the field of mining-class undercarriage manufacturing, repairs and refurbishment.

You don't need to have previous Undercarriage Assembly experience to apply for this position, but you do need a positive can do attitude and have no fear of hard work and getting a little dirty each day! You are someone that is mechanically minded, prides themselves on their reliability and impeccable work ethic and your biggest beef is when co-workers blow shifts for no reason. We will provide full training and we will wash your uniforms but in return you must wear the appropriate PPE and fully comply with our safety rules. If your someone who is a cowboy when it comes to safety, read no further, Maskill is not the place for you.

Although the position can be routine and process driven there are opportunities to work in different areas, on different products using different machinery and tooling. The list below gives you an idea of the key tasks an Undercarriage Assembly Worker is responsible for:

  • Operate heavy machinery and tooling including mills, lathes, presses and hydraulic torque guns
  • Assemble an array of components
  • Work cohesively on an assembly line building products for Top Tier Mining companies
  • Follow safe work procedures (SWP's)
