About the Project
This is your opportunity to join the Redpath team at the world class Lady Loretta Mine, approximately 140km North-West of Mt Isa, whereby Redpath are responsible for all facets of the mining operation. The Lady Loretta Operation has been set up using industry leading technology, and Redpath have continued these standards with mobilisation of new equipment with an emphasis on technology to support safe and efficient production outcomes.
The role involves
- conduct regular workplace inspection, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards;
- provide electrical trades labour and supervision and guidance for trades assistants and apprentices;
- prepare shift reports detailing work performed;
- strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks;
- ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules;
- Working a 2/2 roster, 12hr shifts
- experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground mining environment;
- current Queensland Electrical Licence;
- current Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificate;
- current First Aid and CPR Certificates;
- current working at heights qualifications;
- experience with trouble shooting and mine electrical equipment;
- experience in high voltage work;
- strong fault finding & diagnostic skills;
- the ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
- Valid manual drivers licence;
