The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactReporting to the Management Liability Practice Lead, Financial Lines, you will contribute to the growth and profit of the Commercial Segment, Financial Lines by underwriting new and renewal business, developing, and maintaining relationships with existing and new brokers, ensure visibility of AIG in the market and execute agreed strategies.This position can be located in either Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney.Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:
- Underwrite new and renewal business in accordance with underwriting guidelines, relevant underwriting authority and AIG principles
- Identify target accounts, and monitor progress against budget by utilising appropriate reports and tools
- Maintain accurate files, registers and records to contribute to management reporting and timely service and policy issuance
- Assist in the implementation of the Commercial Strategy for Financial Lines
- Ensure the maintenance/development of solid working relationships with existing/new producing brokers
- Proven track record demonstrating strong sales skills together with a solid understanding of brokerage market as you will be a key point of contact for our broker panel
- Analytical skills are required to manage the profitability of brokers in conjunction with the Financial Lines management and existing professional relationships with brokers would be beneficial
- Proven track record in managing and developing broker relationships, highly collaborative approach and excellent communication & presentation skills
- Insurance qualifications (ANZIIF Senior Associate or equivalent) and Financial Lines experience would be highly regarded
