YOUR ROLE
IAG have a rare opportunity for an Agri and Personal Lines Underwriter to join our WFI Capability and Underwriting Team. This is a new role, which is pivotal in establishing the Agri and Personal Lines underwriting function within WFI.
The purpose of the role and your unique contribution is to determine the acceptability, conditions and pricing of Agri and Personal Lines insurance risks while delivering quality underwriting service for our stakeholders.
This role will see you managing underwriting referrals and ensuring that they are handled promptly in order to meet customer needs. You will be regularly communicating with WFI representatives, team leaders and other stakeholders, with a strong focus on building relationships and working collaboratively in the team.
This is a permanent fulltime role and offers hybrid working, with flexibility to work from home. With our offices placed nationally you will have the choice for your base location.

ABOUT YOU
- Customer service mindset
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to develop successful working relationships with key stakeholders
- Focus on continuous self improvement
- Technical underwriting capability and business acumen
- Understanding of insurance market, specifically Agri and Personal Lines
- Certificate IV in General Insurance desirable
