- Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
- Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives and other business related needs, as appropriate.
- Develop and maintain relationships with brokers in support of business retention and acquisition and works with customers and distributors (brokers) to determine their insurance related needs and provide solutions.
- Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
- Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
- Qualify accounts to meet with the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity
- Business degree (preferred)
- ANZIIF CIP Insurance Qualification
- Multiple years insurance experience preferably in motor underwriting and sales experience
- Uses specialised knowledge and expertise in products and industry to underwrite and analyse new and renewal business within delegated authority levels
- Intermediate knowledge of LoB
- Knowledge of the relevant Legislation and Regulations governing the General Insurance industry
- Ability to assess risks
- Knowledge of processing methods and workflow procedures
