The Position
St John of God Geelong Hospital is a 284-bed hospital located in the CBD of Geelong, and is recognised as the leading provider of private health care in the Barwon and South-western region of Victoria. Caring for our community through our dedicated team of medical specialists and experienced caregivers, our services include maternity, cardiac, oncology, rehabilitation and emergency care.
We are seeking applications from self-motivated and organised individuals to apply for the position of Unit Receptionist in both the Emergency Department and Main Reception of the hospital.
As Unit Receptionist, you will aim to efficiently deliver a broad range of clerical duties, using established processes to ensure excellent customer service and admission procedures.
Positions are offered on a permanent part time basis, working 37.5 hours per fortnight. Hours of work will include regular night shifts, evening and weekend shifts.
Previous experience working within a health care environment will be viewed favourably.
The successful Registered Nurse candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a frontline Clerical/Reception position.
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritise work requirements and work productively within a team environment.
- Highly developed level of computer proficiency, attention to detail and accuracy.
