An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Nurse with leadership experience to join our team at Newstead Medical/Launceston Urgent Care Centre. This is a permanent position, hours are negotiable.
The Urgent Care Centre Clinical Coordinator role requires a highly experienced Registered Nurse with proven leadership and management qualities. This is a newly established 9-bed private Urgent Care Centre operating alongside a well established general practice. This highly rewarding role reports to the Clinical Manager, and requires dedication to working with and supporting nursing staff and GPs to achieve excellence in care delivery and meet business goals.
The Urgent Care Centre Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day management of the Urgent Care Centre and leading the clinical Urgent Care team. Contribution to the initial and ongoing development of the Centre including clinical policy and procedures and quality improvement processes is an essential element of this role. The successful applicant will work alongside our existing Clinical Coordinator providing direct treatment to patients, performing a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical tasks, within the scope of the Practice Nurse, and will be required to provide leave cover for the Clinical Manager.
Key Selection Criteria- Competent in supervising, leading, directing and motivating staff to achieve excellent outcomes
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated extensive clinical skill set
- Able to effectively manage rostering processes and allocation of duties for all clinical staff
- Able to work effectively in a team environment and with a high degree of professional autonomy
- Demonstrated knowledge of infection control principals, CPR and emergency resuscitation techniques, equipment and medications
- Demonstrated knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety regulations
- Previous experience in general practice nursing
- Available for flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Current registration with AHPRA with no restrictions
- Current Working with Vulnerable People and National Police checks
- Current drivers licence
