RACT is embarking on a significant transformation journey, and we have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a UX Designer. We’re looking for someone who has a flair for highlighting and solving customer pain points to develop and enhance RACT’s experiences, and you will be a passionate advocate for our members. With a digital first focus, this role will conduct user research, usability testing, design user flows and wireframing through to higher fidelity prototypes.
About the role:
- Support the digital team by developing member insights that support change and drive business outcomes.
- Conduct member research such as data analysis, conducting user groups and interviews, to understand member needs, pain points and opportunities, translating the findings into actionable design solutions aligned to RACT’s digital strategy.
- Contribute to developing problem definition, ideation workshops, prototyping, testing and analysis of feasibility and viability, creating assets and interfaces to support new and existing digital projects.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure SEO and SEM best practice is built into our digital designs, including website developments, enhancements and EDM templates.
- Work closely with business, data and technology stakeholders to understand and identify CX issues to feed into solutioning.
- Maintain and extend design systems and processes for brand, experience and product consistency.
- Advocate for Human Centred Design principles and the latest web usability and accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
- Communicate design rationale to achieve shared understanding with various stakeholders.
- Continuous monitoring of external digital trends and performance of RACT’s digital assets to identify opportunities for improvement and added value for our members.

About You:
- You will have experience working with external stakeholders, peers and cross-functional departments to ensure the digital strategy is executed in line with the plan.
- Strong technical skills and understanding across a wide range of web applications/platforms, and experience maintaining business applications in a complex commercial environment.
- Experience in interface prototyping, design and development, preferably in Figma.
- Experience in driving digital transformation across multiple stakeholders and business units through well-developed change management skills.
- Experience in working with agile development practices, user research, user-centred design methodologies, information architecture, and usability testing.
- Understanding of Customer Experience design principles.
