Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and creative UI/UX and Graphics Designer who will be responsible for designing and optimizing user interfaces for our digital products, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design (UCD) principles and a keen eye for aesthetics, coupled with proficiency in graphic design tools and software.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers and marketers, to conceptualise and design user-friendly interfaces for multi-channel publishing, such as print, web and mobile applications.
- Conduct user research, user testing, and analysis to identify user needs, preferences, and pain points, and integrate findings into design solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate user flows, interactions, and visual aesthetics.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
- Iterate on designs based on feedback, user testing results, and design best practices to continuously improve the user experience.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure the feasibility of design concepts and facilitate the implementation of designs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design and graphic design, and incorporate them into design processes and deliverables.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Web Designer.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design skills and creativity.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and other design tools.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Graphic Design, Web Design, or a related field.
- Experience with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with motion design, animation, and prototyping tools (e.g., After Effects, Principle, ProtoPie).
- Experience designing for accessibility and familiarity with WCAG guidelines.
- Knowledge of design thinking methodologies and agile development processes.
