The Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Vacuum Excavation Operator to join our growing team in Perth. You will have the opportunity to work on an expanding portfolio of exciting projects ranging from clearances and facility mapping to major infrastructures.
The role is full-time from Monday to Friday, with the occasional weekend, nightshift and regional work required.

About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with non-destructive digging equipment and assist in / carry out potholing activities, including hand digging, backfill operations and temporary reinstatement
- Carry out transportation and maintenance of non-destructive digging equipment
- Assist in the preparation of BYDA information, field notes and sketches
- Work with locating equipment including using standard handheld pipe and cable locating equipment and ground penetrating radar (GPR) to locate, identify and mark underground utilities
- Support utility survey teams and project teams as required to ensure project outcomes are met
Must have:
- Previous experience with vacuum excavation systems at an operational level
- Proficiency in remote access to digital devices and technology
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver's licence
- Construction Induction Card
- Ability to work unsupervised and demonstrate initiative
Good to have:
- Confined Space Entry Certified training
- Gas Test Atmospheres Certified training
- ATCO Gas Supervision
- Dial Before You Dig (DBYD) Certified Locator
- Rail Industry Worker Accreditation
- Traffic Management Certified training
- Industry qualifications in utility locating: NULCA Accredited Certification
The role is physically demanding and involves manual handling, including operation of equipment. For this reason, you may be required to complete a pre-employment medical.
