AddressBlack Duck® SeatCovers is a leading manufacturer of tailor-made, high quality, durable seat covers. Catering for a wide range of heavy-duty seat cover products for both recreational and commercial vehicles.
Due to high demand of our products we require more staff and have the following positions available.
- Production All-Rounders on both day and afternoon shift
- Cutting Machine Operators on both day and afternoon shift
- Industrial Sewing Machinists on afternoon shift
Day shift hours are 7:00am - 3:00pm
Afternoon shift hours are 3:30pm - 11:30pm
The ideal candidate is detail orientated and has a passion for maintaining quality standards and efficient production.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Production All-Rounder
- Provide quality control of the products
- Compare cut products to make sure they match the correct patterns
- Packaging products ready for dispatch
- Layup of material and complete as per work order
- Prepare products for sewing team
- Operate equipment according to procedures
- Printing product ID labels
Cutting Machine Operator
- Operate equipment according to procedures
- Identify quality issues with finished product and complete quality control checks
- Complete daily maintenance procedure on equipment
- Maintain required levels of material stock
Industrial Sewing Machinists
- Works to a pattern or batches of patterns
- Works to instructional top sheets
- Bind raw edges of the product
- Follow work orders allocated by supervisor
- Pre-bind headrest opening, pockets and labels
- Identify quality issues with product and action according to procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar position or industry (desirable)
- Have a basic level of literacy to read and follow general instructions
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to cope with responsibilities provided by management
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and manage timeframes
- Have basic physical fitness with the ability to undertake manual-handling activities
MUST be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a Drug & Alcohol Screening.
MUST be able to provide a current National Police Clearance
MUST have permanent working rights with no restrictions.
