About this role:
- Duties will include complete routine maintenance, service calls, quoted repairs and breakdown repairs on a range of Type A&B gas appliances, Steam Boilers and systems, Diesel/Oil appliances, hydronic heating, pumps and mechanical equipment.
- Canberra Boilers has a large customer and contract portfolio, our technicians are responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, certification and commissioning of a large variety of critical and non-critical equipment inclusive of Government, Defence, commercial, retail and domestic sites.
- You will be required to undertake works associated with Contract deliverables and Key Performace Indicators (KPI's)
What we are looking for from you:
- Gas appliance licence Type A and or Type B – highly desirable
- Restricted Electrical / Electrical Licence - highly desirable
- Gas Fitting - highly desirable
- Have closely related trade qualifications (HVAC, Plumber, Mechanical fitter) – desirable
- Will to train obtain licence as Type A/B technician
- Good mechanical aptitude and understanding
- White Card, Asbestos Awareness, Working Safely with Asbestos and Silica Awareness – desirable
- Suitability for Defence Security Clearance - desirable
- Willing to undergo and pass National Police Certificate (NPC) (pre-employment - prerequisite for employment)
- Current full driver’s licence – minimum class C (provisional drivers may apply)
- Flexibility to work reasonable overtime, as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Proficiency in the use of PC based programs such as Outlook, Teams and Word as well as Tablet and phone based service platform apps - SimPro experience desirable
- Monthly after-hours callout roaster availability
- Well presented at all times
- Punctual with high standards and work ethic.
