Vehicle Builders required in Newcaslte area - This is a Permanent Position
We are working on behalf of a client who are a recognised and well known engineering business who work within multiple sectors such as construction, mining and rail.Our client is currently looking for Vehicle Builders to start work in their Workshop located close to the Newcastle area on a full time basis. You will be responsible for new build locomotives.
About the role -
- Vehicle building duties within a workshop environment
- Cut and lay different types of flooring
- Install air duct systems
- Apply insulation to roofs and walls
- Complete window installation and fit doors
- Opportunities to work on projects across NSW
- Supporting site teams with their project based requirements
- Working alongside other trades such as Boilermakers, Electricians, Fitters, etc.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools, as well as specialised equipment related to locomotives and mining equipment.
- Must be trade qualified in Carpentry, Joinery, Shop Fitting, Shipwright, or Vehicle Building
- Hold a Forklift Licence (LF)
- Hold an Overhead Crane Licence (not essential)
- Experience working with rail and/or locomotive work (not essential)
- Be a team player but have the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Opportunity for full time employment straight away
