We currently have a position on offer for skilled and talented Vehicle Compliance Inspector to join our team. Ideally you will be based in the Mackay region where you will work on a various projects and locations.
About the role:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated and focused individual with exceptional attention to detail to join our Compliance department. Ideally you will possess prior experience within this niche area, along with a thorough understanding of the legal requirements and regulations that apply to performing Vehicle Compliance, testing and inspections.
This role would suit an individual that may be looking to have a break from being on the tools and seeking progressive career advancement. The role will also see you working autonomously in various locations including Mackay and Bowen Basin mines sites as required.
In this busy role your key area of responsibilities will include:
- Conduct vehicle compliancy checks, brake testing and inspections, whilst adhering to stringent industry standards and legal regulations on a wide range of light, medium and heavy vehicles, machinery and ancillary equipment at various workshop and site locations as directed, performing to a high standard of safety and quality workmanship, within designated timeframes.
- Follow set procedures in accordance with workplace and manufacturers requirements and established safety rules and regulations, including pre-operational checking procedures, visual inspection procedures and warning systems checking procedures.
- Complete all relevant documentation in order to pass out and comply with all legal inspection/testing requirements, whilst adhering to all internal reporting, record keeping and document control.
- Operate various electronic compliancy and testing equipment.
- Consistently demonstrate your commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.
Our ideal candidate looks like:
- Trade Qualification – Mechanical or similar
- Approved Examiner (Qld Transport) – Roadworthy Certification - preferred
- Test operational functions of vehicles and equipment - preferred
- Brake Testing qualifications - preferred
- Thorough understanding of all relevant legislation and workplace procedures
- Exposure to the mining industry along with corresponding legislation and regulations they operate within.
- Possess exceptional attention to detail whilst being able to prioritise and work independently.
- Valid Driver’s License (Open, C, HR/HC)
- Current S11//BMA/CBM - preferred
- Excellent computer knowledge, working with Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, Sharepoint and various other programs/systems.
