In this role, you'll:
Work with our Vehicle Identity & Inspections Unit team at Transport for NSW to conduct inspections on vehicles to verify their identify and ensure that there are no safety, road-worthiness or crime-related issues.
You will be going out to various sites across the Sydney region and NSW to inspect vehicles, analyse records, make important decisions and ensure compliance across a range of legislative requirements.
The head office for this position is located at Parramatta, however you may be required to be based out of any of the Transport for NSW facilities including Botany, Silverwater or Penrith. State-wide travel is required.

About you
You are enthusiastic about Vehicle Safety and keeping our road users and communities safe, you may be an experienced motor mechanic or trades qualified professional looking to build on this experience in a high-performing and supportive team.
You have an understanding of NSW and Commonwealth legislation related to vehicles, are experienced in examining vehicles and have the ability to research, interpret and apply legislation.
You have strong report writing and written communication skills, are comfortable speaking with a wide variety of people including police, authorised examiners, vehicle owners, drivers and members of the public.
