Tertiary Education Sector is seeking to engage a temporary WHS resource
Occupational Health Professionals established in 1985, is a comprehensive Work Health and Safety services provider.
Our client is an agency of NSW Tertiary Education Sector, delivering excellence in tertiary education, employing more than 3000 diverse members of staff who offer loyalty and commitment to delivering outstanding performance across 14 locations in the western Sydney region.
The role will be based in Hawkesbury region.
Role Purpose
The Safety Systems Compliance role will oversee, report and maintain WHS systems and dashboards that provide accurate data reporting on incidents, safety trends, workers compensation, EAP utilisation and other key safety metrics to a range of stakeholders.
In addition to your reporting and analysing of WHS data, you will also provide support in other WHS programs & initiatives.
Key Functions
- Perform data extraction, analytics and develop safety reports for a broad range of stakeholders including the senior Executive Team .
- Act as a System Administrator for the Safety Systems, providing analysis and interpretation of WHS related data.
- Input data into safety databases and systems as required
- Research and remain current on identified trends.
- Assisting with other WHS projects e.g. safety module review, noise assessments & review of ergonomics
To be considered for this role, it is essential candidates must demonstrate the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in WHS and/or significant high-level experience in this specialist area,
- Substantial experience in analysing and reporting on WHS data sets;
- Demonstrated experience as self-motivated member of a multi-functional team
- Comprehensive Understanding of Compliance with WHS and RTW Acts, regulation, and standards
- Excel skills – substantive experience in generating reporting tables, dashboards, pivot tables and graphs.
- Written Communication skills are required to be above average particularly in submission of formal reporting at executive level.
- Strong and experience in the use of corporate data systems including 1) Manipulation and analysis of WHS data 2) Research and systems interrogation.
