Job description

It takes the connection of team members in many different roles to run more than 800 supermarkets across Australia. Whether you’re in-store or delivering to a customers’ door, life in-front or behind the shelves is fast, and it’s fun. Joining Coles Supermarkets means you’ll belong in a team of diverse personalities, cultures, backgrounds and beliefs, just like the local communities we serve. Each day brings a variety of valuable first-hand experiences and with the formal training we give you, you’ll gain skills that set you up for an ongoing career at Coles Group and beyond.

About the role

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers? We’re seeking a Vehicle Trolley Collection Team Member to play a crucial role in ensuring our stores provide a positive shopping experience. No prior experience is required, just a willingness to learn and a great attitude.

Key responsibilities
  • Driving a Coles Services company vehicle around the carpark and local area, collecting trolleys and returning them to our in-store trolley bays – whatever the weather.
  • Working through a checklist of cleaning tasks throughout the store.
  • Using various equipment and cleaning products to sweep, mop, vacuum, scrub, and buff floors throughout the store, team rooms, toilets, and offices.
  • Cleaning, dusting, wiping, and scrubbing shelving, refrigeration rooms, industrial ovens and drains.
About you and your skills
  • A full unrestricted Australian drivers’ license and a safe driving record. (you’ll be required to obtain a full driver license history check)
  • Working both indoors and outdoors, you’ll be trusted to work autonomously and in a group setting
  • A commitment to providing great customer experiences by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
  • A keen eye for detail and cleanliness
  • A passion for working safely and abide by Coles Safe work practices
  • The ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and demonstrate a solid work ethic
  • To be active and physically fit, you’ll be constantly on the go and lifting up to 17kgs
  • Availability for a wide variety of shifts between 5am-11pm, 7 days per week
What’s in it for you?
  • Shift variety: We offer a variety of shift times to accommodate your schedule.
  • Comprehensive training: We believe in continuous learning and will provide you comprehensive paid training in the use of chemicals, machinery, and safety equipment.
  • Uniform provided: No need to worry about what to wear. We provide uniforms so you can focus on what you do best.
  • Opportunities for growth and development: Discover and explore a variety of career development programs and job-specific training.
  • Paid parental Leave: We understand how important your life outside work is and offer paid parental leave to support you in balancing work and family.
  • Discounts and benefits: As a Coles Group team member, you’ll receive discounts across all our internal brands – Coles, Coles Liquor and Coles Online.
Take your next step into something bigger, apply now

With us it’s not about the discounts (although you do get those), it’s about joining a team where your wellbeing and professional development is our investment and celebrating your contributions is the norm. And because everyone leads unique lives, we offer flexible work, additional leave and parental leave entitlements.

We’re continuing to build a gender equitable team, and a culture that is just as diverse, inclusive and welcoming as the communities we serve. We are committed to creating a workplace that is safe and respectful for our team. We encourage applications from people of all ages, cultures (including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples), abilities, sexual orientation and gender identities.

We’re happy to adjust our recruitment process to support candidates with disability. For further information and additional contact details visit the ‘Our Recruitment Process’ section of our careers site or email ***************@coles.com.au
