An exciting opportunity exists to join a Data & Reporting team immediately until 30 December 2024, unless otherwise determined. Performance Monitoring and Reporting want to increase their capability in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis and Reporting.
This position will give you exposure to interesting and challenging data related projects and tasks to support data-driven decision-making within a complex business environment. You will have the opportunity to upskill your technical skills, working with a broad range of technologies within the Microsoft ecosystem.
You will work in a team providing on-demand reporting services and will review and improve methodologies to create efficiencies enabling timely provision of information.

Your Role:
You will have responsibility for delivery of the following:
- Participate in the development and maintenance of information systems for the provision of accurate, reliable and appropriate data to meet the requirements of decision makers, managers and planners at departmental, state and Australian government levels.
- Collect, collate, analyse and, where appropriate, report performance measurement information for use by other departmental business units departmental officers.
- Identify, document and test requirements for enhancements to various information systems.
- Assist in the formulation and preparation of reports, submissions and briefings regarding complex performance measurement, benchmarking, monitoring and reporting issues.
- Participate in the development of statistical analysis, interpretation and reporting procedures for organisation performance related data.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability and security of data required for analytical and reporting purposes.
- Implement system controls to ensure the quality, security and integrity of data collections.
About You:
While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, the following knowledge, skills, and practical experience would be highly regarded:
- Proficiency in data manipulation and reporting
- Creating dashboards and reports (Power BI or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)), data visualisation, data analysis, data modelling, Excel, T-SQL, Python, R or data science programming languages.
