We are proud to be exclusively partnering with one of Queensland’s premier wineries for the recruitment of a Cellar Door/Venue Manager.
This role is based in their breathtaking winery in the Southeast of Brisbane (30 minutes from Brisbane CBD). Working with my client means being part of a passionate team that takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences to their local and international guests.
The Role:
As the Cellar Door Manager, the role will be an ambassador of the brand, through delivering service and sharing knowledge when hosting guests.
You will have the responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Cellar Door/Venue. This includes opening/closing the venue, supervising, training and leading the delivery of paid seated premium wine tasting experiences and private tours.
More specifically, the responsibilities cover the following key accountabilities:
- Conduct wine tastings with guests
- Lead the cellar and vineyard tours
- Host tourism groups and provide leadership at private functions, events and other visitor experiences
- Promote sales of award-winning wines
- manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and health regulations
- Provide exceptional customer experience
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the establishment
- Utilise point-of-sale systems to process transactions, manage inventory, and ensure ongoing maintenance of new product additions and pricing
- Train new employees and maintain standards of service through ongoing training and development
- Monitor and manage food ordering systems, ensuring adequate supplies are available and minimising waste
- Collaborate with other supervisors and management to implement new policies and procedures as needed, working to create an efficient and seamless customer service experience between the hospitality and wine-tasting sections
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that encourages creativity and innovation

- Have a genuine interest and passion for the wine industry
- 2+ years’ relevant experience (strong wine knowledge/bar management/wine sales)
- Team management experience (rosters, training, development)
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
- A friendly and engaging personality with excellent communication skills
- Polished presentation and standards
- A WSET Level 2 qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Experience with food ordering systems and inventory management
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and the occasional evening shifts required for special events.
- A strong passion for hands-on work and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic environment.
- Must have full working rights in Australia.
- Up to $85k + superannuation.
