To coordinate and oversee the day-to-day functions of Byng Street Local Store in accordance with company and venue policies and procedures with the highest level of standards and quality. Ensure customers expectations are met and exceeded with every visit by encompassing the Byng Street brand.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service Management
- Provide clear direction for all day-to-day operations.
- Provide a customer-focused approach to service including but not limited to point of sale and making and serving coffee.
- Ensure a high level of store presentation.
- Ensure service is provided in a timely manner.
- Provide a customer-focused approach to service ensuring repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills in engaging with customers.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
Financial management and stock control
- Adhere to cash handling and end of day policies and procedures.
- Monitor and manage stock ordering, control of stock levels and stock rotation.
- Ensure wastage is minimised.
- Ensure staff wages meet company budgets and forecasting.
- Monitor sales performance and set targets for the customer service team.
- Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and revenue enhancement.
Management of Team
- Effective staff rostering to ensure targets are met.
- Ensure all staff are aware of their duties and what is expected of them.
- Provide staff feedback on their performance to enable staff development.
- Provide ongoing team training including product knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with and provide support to the kitchen team
- Maintain communication with the Management Team to provide updates on the ongoing day-to-day operations of the venue.
- Collaborate with Management Team to oversee the recruitment and management of onsite staff.
- Foster and maintain a culture of teamwork among all staff members.
- Ensure any staffing issues are resolved fairly and quickly.
