Grader Group Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced and professional Venue Manager to join our vibrant team. The Venue Manager is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and coordinating the overall operations of the venue, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction. Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Managing staff arrivals and departures, overseeing opening and closing procedures of the venue
• Acting as a concierge for guests, ensuring they are greeted and seated promptly, managing reservations
• Collaborating with culinary staff to plan daily menus and fulfill customer requirements
• Tracking and managing stock levels, ordering supplies as needed in coordination with kitchen staff
• Handling financial transactions, including opening and closing cash registers
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the venue, including equipment and furniture upkeep
• Leading menu planning and pricing discussions in conjunction with culinary team and management
• Participating in staff selection processes, conducting interviews, and providing on-the-job training
• Ensuring exceptional customer service, addressing feedback and resolving issues promptly
• Overseeing day-to-day operations, resolving any challenges, and escalating issues to management when necessary
• Managing and coordinating special events hosted at the venue
• Conducting staff meetings and fostering a positive working environment
• Ensuring compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) policies and health regulations
• Regularly inspecting dining facilities to ensure compliance with health standards and maintaining functionality
• Assisting staff with order taking and other tasks as needed
• Maintaining effective communication and fostering strong working relationships with management
Your Skills and attributes:
• A level of skill commensurate with a degree, advanced diploma or diploma, plus 2 years of relevant experience, or alternatively, at least 3 years of relevant work experience as a Venue Manager in the hospitality industry in lieu of any formal qualification(s)
• Exceptional multitasking abilities and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Demonstrated experience in managing staff within a busy hospitality venue
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support a team
