Cloud Controls is a Control Systems, functional safety and electrical engineering firm specialising in the mining and marine industries, working with tier one customers.
We are seeing an increased demand for our offerings and require an expectational person to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in leading the design and testing of complex control and electrical systems, managing projects, mentoring engineers, and will be relied upon to provide expert advice and support to our clients.

Job tasks and responsibilities- Project management
- Concept design
- PLC, HMI and SCADA programming
- Software programming
- Electrical system design and protection calculations
- CAD drafting
- Documentation, including functional specifications, test specifications and operation and maintenance manuals
- Commissioning and site support
- 3+ years in Control Systems or electrical engineering (mindset is more important than experience, so please consider applying if you are the right fit)
- Tertiary degree (electrical or mechatronic engineering, or computer science) or trade qualification and significant experience
- Electrical design experience (AS3000 requirements, hardware selection, protection calculations)
- Experience with Schneider Electric, Allen Bradley and/or GE PLCs
- Experience with CitectSCADA and/or Wonderware
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Experience with functional safety systems
- Confidence to work autonomously and directly with end clients
- Experience working on client sites
- Quality driven with attention to detail
- Ability to develop and implement standards compliant designs
This role is primarily based in our Perth CBD office with additional site work for project commissioning and support. Flexible working arrangements are available.
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience of the successful candidate.
