Job Title: Vertical Mud Crab Farm Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a two highly motivated and experienced people to join our team as a Vertical Mud Crab Farm Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Vertical Mud Crab Farming operations, ensuring optimal productivity, sustainability, and profitability. This role requires sound leadership skills, hands-on experience in Vertical Mud Crab Farming, and a passion for innovation in sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Farm Operations Management:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Vertical Mud Crab Farm, including water quality management, feeding schedules, disease control, and harvesting procedures.
• Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and efficient farm operations.
• Monitor environmental conditions and make adjustments as necessary to optimize crab growth and health.

2. Staff Supervision and Training:

• Recruit, train, and supervise farm staff, including crab handlers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

3. Inventory and Resource Management:

• Manage inventory of feed, equipment, and other farm supplies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with suppliers to procure necessary materials and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Monitor resource usage and implement strategies to optimize resource efficiency and reduce costs.

4. Research and Development:

• Stay informed about advancements in aquaculture technology and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to explore innovative farming methods and technologies.
• Participate in research projects and field trials to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of new approaches.

Qualifications:

• Qualifications in Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Fisheries Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in aquaculture operations, preferably with a focus on crustacean farming.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
• Able to use MS Office products. 
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and a commitment to environmental stewardship
• Needs to be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
