· A vet team that is a mixture of experienced and young vets full of enthusiasm
· A place that offers an employee support package to help smooth out the bumps on the road of life

So, you think that’s me, but Canberra isn’t that just full of politicians?
Well there are a few, but there is a great deal that makes it an amazing place to live.
· Amazing weather
It has 4 distinct seasons. And, generally while our summer days are hot, the nights are cool, perfect for a good night’s rest
· Abundance of Nature
How many cities afford you the joy of waking to Magpie song, and seeing wildlife right on your doorstep?
Where else can you run, hike and cycle for hours amongst nature and without worrying about traffic, also right on your doorstep?
With multiple lakes there is plenty of space for kayaking, wind surfing and sailing too!
· Location
Just 2 hours gets you to the unspoiled beaches of the South East Coast, without the hustle and bustle of city beaches
Nestled among the mountains it is a short 2-hour trip to the snow
· City Amenities
Culture is a 15 minute drive away with the National Art Gallery, National Museum, National Library, Portrait Gallery and multiple Theatres
Lots of restaurants, bars, and Café’s offer a huge choice of places to catch up and meet with friends
NO TRAFFIC CONGESTION. It’s a bad day if it takes 10 minutes more in rush hour!
OK, so maybe Canberra isn’t so bad, but why work for us?
This is what our clients think
“For a start, I have been going to them for at least 20 years ever since I moved to Canberra. Right from the beginning and throughout, the staff have always been highly professional, from the nursing staff, through to the vets, through to the reception staff. They are all extremely helpful, friendly, very committed to what they do, and very compassionate as well.”
We have been part of the community for nearly 50 years
A couple of years ago when our new graduate vet started we gave her a photo of her and her dog attending puppy preschool 13 years earlier.
We love to help our vets grow
Recently we said goodbye to our recent graduate as she left for an internship as a surgeon at a specialist hospital. While it means finding another vet, we love the fact we helped her follow her dream.
So, if you think you’d like to work with us and give Canberra a try, then why not shoot us an email at *****@wcvh.com.au. If the opportunity is right, we will both know it and we will go from there.
