Veterinary Nurse

Maleny Veterinary Services is a privately-owned mixed practice located in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. We are blessed with lovely clients, gorgeous countryside and within great proximity to Brisbane and the beaches of the Sunshine Coast.

We are a close-knit crew of 20ish staff members including eight vets, nine super-nurses and an awesome support crew. Our practice philosophy is one of providing outstanding, old-fashioned service coupled with the pursuit of excellence in what we do. We look after each other, knowing that without a strong team, we can’t do our job well.

We use VisionVPM, are housed in a well-appointed practice with all the usual equipment and are always looking to learn new stuff and master cool skills. We are proud to support our clients and community with a seven-day trade and our own after-hours service.

Our nurses’ days are filled with a diverse variety of duties including assisting vets on farm and home visits, nurse consults, surgical and hospital nursing, and some reception duties.

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our ranks. Your working week will fall between 20 and 38 hours (negotiable for the right candidate) with overtime, allowances and super paid in addition. You will be required to participate in our weekend roster (roughly one in four) plus be ‘on-call’ during that weekend. Hourly wage offered will be commensurate with experience.
