About the role
The VFL Doctorwill be responsible for all medical services and care of Collingwood VFL players.
The VFL Doctor will attend 1 x VFL main training session per week (the training session per week will be subject to the VFL schedule and agreed to by the Consultant and the Club). They will also attend each VFL match-day, including all interstate games and take after hours calls from VFL players and staff.
The VFL Doctor will be required to keep abreast of and ensure compliance with rule and regulations under the AFL Anti-Doping code including compliance ASADA, WADA and other rules and regulations regarding medical treatment services and procedures, medications and/or supplements and do all things necessary to ensure that the Club complies with those requirements.
It is essential that the candidate holds a Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
Please note this opportunity will be engaged as an Independent Contractor.
About you
The ideal candidate for this role will be someone with proven clinical experience in sports physician/medicine. They will have a passion for people and enjoy working in fast paced environment, and have the ability to manage multiple players across our VFL list.
