Vice President - Corporate Development Role Oversseing M&A, Portfolio Management & Strategy

• Senior Associate/Junior VP level hire 
• Reporting directly into Deputy CFO 
• Investment Portfolio Management, development, research and M&A role 

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a listed corporate that has a diversified investment portfolio, in a senior Corporate Development position. The preferred candiate will be involved in identifying and assessing new investment opportunities in listed, unlisted and new ventures in various industries; plus be involved in all areas of Corporate Development and strategic M&A. 

 Role responsibilities will include 

• Review of financial performance and provide insights for the MD, CEO and CFO; 
• Review of proposed business cases and financial projections; 
• Review of investment plans, strategy and markets; 
• Optimise the portfolio including proposing and assessing options and opportunities for further investment, restructuring, mergers & acquisition, dilution and divestment; 
• Direct or support the Group’s due diligence process for M&A opportunities including market assessments, company overviews, and investment plans; 
• Maximise value of adjacent acquisitions, including assisting business units to develop, due diligence and execute both roll up or adjacent acquisition opportunities, including the preliminary opportunity assessment, valuation methodology and due diligence; 
• Evaluate the financial aspects of proposed acquisitions, investments, mergers and divestments, including valuations, return on capital and modelling of investment scenarios. 

Profile 

Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in investment analysis, identifying and evaluating mergers and acquisitions; either are working, or have worked in M&A advisory, or Corporate Development with circa 7-10 years experience.
