As the Village Coordinator you will support the Village Manager, to manage the overall services of the Retirement Living Department, in the aim to create a well-connected community with a focus on positive resident experience.
This is an extremely fulfilling part time role; Monday to Friday, 27 hours per week, based in North Richmond, Kingsford Smith Village.
Weekly Shift Schedule
- Mondays: 1pm to 5pm
- Tuesdays: 1pm to 5pm
- Wednesdays: 9am to 5pm
- Thursdays: 9am to 5pm
- Fridays: 1pm to 5pm
= 27 hours per week
The Opportunity
Working closely and collaboratively with the Village Manager, this is a dynamic and diverse role where you will support the Village Manager in the management of all new residents, current residents and relevant stakeholders. You will present the best image for the organisation, by providing timely and accurate information and exceptional quality service centred around creating a supportive and caring environment for our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Village Manager with day-to-day tasks including resident liaison, dispute resolution, resident issues, document preparation, resident welfare support and adhoc tasks and projects
- Help build relationships in the Village Community to encourage good word of mouth and maintain a high level of resident satisfaction
- Record and respond to complaints and incidents
- Work collaboratively with other functions of the business - Property, Finance, Maintenance, Landscaping, to ensure projects are completed to a high standard and on time
- Contribute to the Village social events program, arrange events and any village meetings as required
- Assist in the preparation of marketing material, policies and procedures and ensure all requirements of the Retirement Village legislation are met.
- Commitment to Work Health and Safety standards, ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients, staff and visitors
- Information Handling, including preparation of business papers, assisting with village budgets, confidential documents and document management
- Communication, both written and oral including drafting of correspondence and notices for the Village
- Support and implement the vision, objectives and policies of the organisation
- Adherence to RSL LifeCare policies and procedures
- Present in a positive and professional manner at all times; you are the face of the village
- Updated Vaccinations; Covid and Flu
Ideal Role Requirements
- Previous relevant experience in a customer-focused role
- Excellent people and communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to interact with residents with respect and empathy.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work under minimal supervision
- Experience building positive relationships with key stakeholders, clients, colleagues and service providers
- Resilience, strong commercial acumen and highly organised
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn custom CRM and other software/online tools
- A good understanding of the Retirement Villages Act
