About the role

An opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and customer focussed Village Services Specialist to join our team in Port Hedland. Reporting to the General Manager Non-Process Infrastructure, you will oversee the performance of Village Services, ensuring a safe and welcoming experience for our village residents and visitors. Collaborating with our contracting business partners, you will deliver best in industry culture and service levels for our village operations, whilst proactively seeking opportunities to elevate our service and standards.

Duties

• Drive a collaborative culture and performance with the contracting business partners
• Oversee bus, catering and cleaning services across the sites and offices
• Assist with camp management tendering and evaluation and award for camp service contracts 
• Oversee and prioritise projects to ensure delivery in key areas
• Develop positive internal and external stakeholder relationships, and influence others to achieve collaborative outcomes
• Identify opportunities to add value through accommodation optimisation
• Provide expertise and recommendations to village planning, strategic plans, and reviews
• Ensure excellence in service delivery for corporate events and VIP dinners

Skills and experience

• Experience managing a remote village and/or housing infrastructure
• A customer centric mindset and a commitment to delivering excellent service
• Commercial negotiation skills and knowledge of service contracts
• Mining and or resources industry experience including experience operating at a leadership level
• Budgeting and forecasting experience and the ability to manage complexity in a rapidly changing environment
• Highly collaborative with the ability to build meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders
