The Visitor Engagement Coordinator reports to the Visitor Engagement Manager which forms part of the wider Visitor Experience portfolio charged with the strategic development and daily operations of a conservation-based visitor experience at Healesville Sanctuary.
The Visitor Engagement Cooordinator will ensure that all face-to-face experiences are aligned to Zoos Victoria's Connect, Understand, Act (CUA) Visitor Engagement Model and is the CUA Champion and lead trainer, providing training for all staff. The role has a strong Community Conservation focus and will be responsible for the development and delivery of F2F experiences aligned to our FE27 and Community Conservation Campaigns including meeting community conservation campaign targets and reporting on campaign results.
The successful incumbent will have the following:
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in a relevant field and/or training and experience aligned with Visitor Experiences and interpretation or related field.
- Proven ability coordinating a team and managing performance
- Experience in presentation training for face-to-face visitor experiences
- Experience working with wildlife in combination with public programs
- Experience working with diverse teams and developing and maintaining positive relationships
- Knowledge of interpretive practices within a zoo or other cultural organisation
- A passion for wildlife, conservation and the environment
- Experience in the development and delivery of public programs, presentations and activations
