This is a Recruitment Pool for Fixed Term Sessional appointments at 8 sessions per fortnight for up to 3 years with the possibility of extension(s).

Position Profile and Role:
The Rare Care Centre provides a cross-sector (multi-agency) care coordination service for children with rare and undiagnosed diseases.
This position, as part of a multidisciplinary team:

  • Provides specialist medical services to patients.
  • Promotes patient quality and safety and provides leadership, training, supervision, and education, where relevant, for doctors in training and other health workers in collaboration with other Consultants and the Head of Department/Unit.
  • Works within the scope of clinical practice as defined by the Health Service Credentialing Committee.
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is proud to be the leading service provider for paediatric healthcare in Western Australia, as the State’s only dedicated health service for infants, children and young people. CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 5,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
