About the Role
Albury Wodonga Health requires a permanent part time Volunteer Coordinator to join our supportive Community Palliative Care Team. Albury Wodonga Health Community Palliative Care is based in Wodonga and provides a community based, multidisciplinary palliative service to people who reside in the Rural City of Wodonga, Indigo Shire and Towong Shire. The Volunteer Coordinator will manage our Volunteer workforce, an integral part of our service who offer practical help and support for people with a life limiting illness, their families and their carers. Primary responsibilities of this role include: Volunteer engagement, management, support, supervision and recruitment; Development and maintain relationships of internal and external stakeholders; Work closely with the Community Palliative Care Team.
Employment Type: The Volunteer Coordinator role is permanent part time (16 hours per week) opportunity with flexible working hours. The Volunteer Coordinator will be supported by the Manager of Palliative Care and work closely with the AWH Volunteer Coordinator.

Selection Criteria
Mandatory : Qualifications, skills and experience relevant to the coordination of volunteers in a community based environment.
Desirable : Understanding of a Palliative Care environment and patient and carer needs that can be supported by volunteer.
Desirable : Commitment to work with all clients and all levels of stakeholders including demonstrated ability to positively and thoughtfully motivate people.
Desirable : Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills with all stakeholders.
Mandatory : A current driver’s license.
