About the opportunity
Our companionship and activities support volunteers play important roles in people’s lives; keeping people connected, active and continuing to participate in the activities they love, such as card games, chess, reading, art, helping residents to use smart devices to connect with family and just engaging in conversation and friendship.
We have homes across Bateau Bay and Hamlyn Terrace.
What you need
- An interest in people and genuine interactions
- Active listening skills
- A few hours a week
- Hobbies or interests you are willing to share e.g. playing chess, knitting, reading, music, bi-lingual, drivers and others
We love learning from our volunteers so if you have a particular skill or hobby, we’d love to hear from you!
Volunteering with Uniting is subject to satisfactory background checks which include a National Police Check and Reference Checks.
