The VP-Supply Chain reports directly to EVP (Australia) - Defence Systems and leads the Supply Chain function. VP Supply Chain is responsible for managing all aspects of our company's Defence Systems' relationships with our suppliers, locally and internationally. The position specifically manages supplier relationships, planning and forecasting, inventory management, procurement, cost negotiations and terms and conditions, transactions and warehousing & distribution functions with the support of specialist teams. The role is responsible for ensuring Supply Chain compliance with applicable quality management systems and international trade control and other licensing requirements.
The goals of the position will broadly focus on managing all the aspects of the Supply Chain Management function, ensuring it is well managed, including managing procurement risks, managing exposure to cost increases, supporting production demands and assuring supply quality.
Primary Duties:
As our VP- Supply Chain, you will be responsible for:
- Inspiring and motivating a team of Supply Chain professionals to achieve operational excellence.
- Development and Implementation of our Supply Chain Strategy
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders.
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practice.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have proven experience in leading a Supply Chain function in a complex organisation; you will need to be well-organised and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be easily able to work cooperatively with other teams and individuals.
You will have:
- A proven track record in Supply Chain management, preferably in a high-tech industry.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Supply Chain principles and practices.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and process improvement methodologies
- Degree qualification in applicable field of study.
- APICS certification as CSCP or CPIM (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role managing manufacturing (or OEM) Supply Chains.
- Experience working in a Defence/security environment will be looked upon very favorably.
