East Fremantle Football Club has a proud history and has become the most successful club in Western Australian football, producing a long line of players through to the AFL. Our WAFLW team are the current reigning Premiers and have a bright future ahead of them.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage the operations of the East Fremantle Football Club's WAFLW program
• Manage the WAFLW playing list and operational policies in compliance with the WAFLW rules and regulations
• Develop a strong understanding of, and network within, the East Fremantle Football District (metro & regional)
• Promote the Club and it's brand
• Relationship management across diverse stakeholder groups
• Assistance with Talent program when required

Qualifications & experience

Essential:

• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with players, coaches, and staff through a high level of care, empathy, and authenticity
• Ability to contribute positively to the program driving an inclusive, united, and welcoming environment
• Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal
• Demonstrate ability to manage operations in a timely, organised, and professional manner
• Ability to provide feedback to coaches, players, and staff in an open and professional manner

Desirable:

• Experience and knowledge of the football industry and various stakeholders
• Experience working in female sport
• Proficiency with programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, HUDL and Sports Code

Areas of Accountability:

• Strategy, Operations and Compliance:
• Provide direction and assist with the process of annual objectives with the coaching and support staff. This includes pre-season and in-season training schedules, key events and player education requirements
• Ensure the WAFLW football programs are appropriately serviced
  Develop a strong understanding of the WAFLW’s Rules and Regulations to ensure compliance is met
• Ensure compliance with WAFLW list management rules using the competition’s online management systems
• Manage position descriptions and payment of coaches and staff ensuring clear understanding of each respective role within the program

• Weekly and Match Day Operations:
• Responsible for all WAFLW weekday operational requirements
• Responsible for home match day requirements including appropriate match day facilities for home and away teams, organisation of match day football staff and communication of match day plan to key stakeholders
• Implement a high level communication system for the WAFLW football department recognising the department includes employees, casual staff and volunteers
• Work collaboratively with WAFC staff and other WAFLW clubs in supporting a collective endeavour for the best competition and pathway possible
• Oblige requests for media interviews and promotional events with WAFLW players and coaches
• Represent the Club in a positive manner, promoting East Fremantle as the club of choice
• Develop a strong network of rapport and communication with the media, WAFC, AFLW clubs, WAFLW clubs, Metro and Regional zone clubs, umpires and other state league competitions

• List Management
• Undertake a needs assessment in consultation with the WAFLW League Coach to develop a recruitment plan with the aim of assembling a list which provides the Club with the best chance of sustained on-field success with a view to develop from within
• Coordinate the talent identification of potential WAFLW Rogers Cup and League players
• Provide support and direction to the WAFLW League program, including the transition of players from Rogers Cup to League football

• Talent Pathway:
• Provide guidance and leadership to coaches and staff regarding best practice
• Plan, manage and drive the partnership with the Mid West region working in collaboration with stakeholders such as the MWAS, GNWFL, GNJFL and East Fremantle female academy players, families and coaches

• Review and Improve:
• Coordinate end-of-year player, coach and staff reviews across the entire football department
