We are seeking an experienced Plant, Fleet & Stores Coordinator to join our team, ensuring a high quality service is delivered to internal and external stakeholders. This role will provide expert advice to internal stakeholder groups in the identification, definition and selection of fleet and major plant and will work closely with the Manager of Plant, Fleet and Buildings to deliver an efficient and effective utilisation function to the Organisation.

This position will be responsible for:
- Liaise with internal customers and external suppliers to specify, evaluate, and provide plant and equipment through direct purchase and hire to obtain best value.
- Participate in, and facilitate, the implementation of Council’s fleet transition plans to support Council’s Net Zero Emissions goals.
- Ensure Council’s Work Health & Safety (WHS) responsibilities with respect to plant, fleet and equipment purchases and disposal are in accordance with legislative requirements.
- Coordinate stores warehouse inventory system and functions including stocktaking to ensure stock levels are relevant to organisational requirements.
- Undertake and report on asset disposal valuations.
- Coordinate hire arrangements for externally owned fleet.
- Collect and analyse data and report to Manager on stores performance, fleet expenditure, internal/external patterns and trends, and supplier delivery performance.
- Provide maintenance and repair advice to Council’s Workshop team and external service providers.
- Lead, engage, mentor, and develop the team, ensuring effective personnel management in order to deliver operational works and achieve the best organisational and community outcomes.
As the successful applicant, you will:
- Experience in leading and working effectively in a team and independently.
- Minimum Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations.
- Fleet Management Certificate.
- Class C Driver’s Licence.
- General Construction Induction Training Card.
