About the role

Join the City of Coffs Harbour's Organisational Development Group as the Learning and Development Partner, working across the full learning cycle, leading engagement with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to a wide range of Organisational Development Projects and support the delivery of the City's workforce management plan across the organisation.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Team Leader Human Resources, the Organisation Development team and People leaders and their teams to identify and implement learning and development requirements and activities to support individual, team and organisational improvement.

This diverse and exciting role will see the successful candidate undertake the development and delivery of a broad range of Learning & Development frameworks, initiatives, policies, procedures and guidelines to facilitate individual development and also support The City's leadership.

You will have proven ability to be able to deliver on key organisation objectives to ensure delivery of The City's workforce management plan, alignment of HR programs to business strategies, effective performance management and talent development implementation. In addition, you will be able to participate in Learning and Development initiatives that contribute to individual performance and The City's effectiveness.

Do you have these key attributes?

  • High level of communication skills and ability to develop sound working relationships with key stakeholders while providing consistent advice in relation to Learning & Development matters.
  • Driven & motivated to work collaboratively to identify effective strategies for a positive employee experience.
  • Ability to recognise trends and develop recommendations based on tactical analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage significant work volumes with a high level of attention to detail.

Essentials Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary Level Qualifications (Cert IV or above) in Human Resources, Business Training / Education, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience aligning organisational needs with the design and implementation of learning and development initiatives within and adult learning environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of contemporary learning and development policies and practices.
  • Experience in using HR information systems, Learning Management Systems and high proficiency in Microsoft Office
