The Position
This position will oversee activities, services, project delivery and will focus on managing stakeholder relationships, to ensure the provision of high quality, safe and sustainable public facilities consistent with Council’s strategic planning documents.
This position is expected to work collaboratively with all other areas of Council, committees and the community to successfully deliver their work.
This position is a key role within the Directorate of Infrastructure & Development and leads a team responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of services related to:
- Water supply, treatment and reticulation.
- Wastewater collection and treatment.
- Swimming Pool operation and treatment.

About You
You will have experience in water reticulation systems, including maintenance, testing and operations. Your focus will be on providing efficient services to the community, and minimising waste wherever possible. You will be practical and have a can-do mindset. You will be operating hand tools, and small plant and machinery, and other plant as directed. You will be able to work as the leader of a small high performing team, and fulfil responsibilities of a coordinator as required. You may be required to work on an on-call roster for the provision of emergency services.
What we Offer
This is a permanent full-time position (38 hours per week) starting at $1,639.70 (gross), based on Band 2 Level 3 of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. You will enjoy one RDO every fortnight.
