The role: * Assist nursing and allied health professional staff in general daily care of clients including bathing, dressing, feeding and personal care.

• Participate in and assists with the supervision of client activities as requested by nursing staff and allied health staff.
• Participate in and assists clients with their rehabilitation and recovery programs including shopping, meal preparation, serving meals and community access, as requested by nursing staff or allied health staff.
• Undertake the Patient Safety Assistant role as and when requested.
• Maintain the unit in a clean and homely state including bed making, assisting clients with personal laundry needs, and general household and kitchen duties.
• Protect clients and promote a safe working environment.

• Roy Fagan Centre is situated in beautiful Lenah Valley with convenient free on-site parking or just a short walk from the centre.
• The Roy Fagan Centre is a specialised 41 bed facility to assess and treat elderly persons with mental illness and dementia.
• We offer 12-hour shifts: Morning 07:15 - 19:45, and Night 19:30 - 07:30.
• Roy Fagan encourages professional development and regularly offers in-services and one on one training opportunities.

Details of AppointmentPermanent full time shift-worker position working 76 hours per fortnight on a set rotational roster, commencing asap.*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

• Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022Eligibility:Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: * Certificate III or IV in Health Care or equivalent, or Health Professional Undergraduate qualification
