The role: * Assist nursing and allied health professional staff in general daily care of clients including bathing, dressing, feeding and personal care.
- Participate in and assists with the supervision of client activities as requested by nursing staff and allied health staff.
- Participate in and assists clients with their rehabilitation and recovery programs including shopping, meal preparation, serving meals and community access, as requested by nursing staff or allied health staff.
- Undertake the Patient Safety Assistant role as and when requested.
- Maintain the unit in a clean and homely state including bed making, assisting clients with personal laundry needs, and general household and kitchen duties.
- Protect clients and promote a safe working environment.
- Roy Fagan Centre is situated in beautiful Lenah Valley with convenient free on-site parking or just a short walk from the centre.
- The Roy Fagan Centre is a specialised 41 bed facility to assess and treat elderly persons with mental illness and dementia.
- We offer 12-hour shifts: Morning 07:15 - 19:45, and Night 19:30 - 07:30.
- Roy Fagan encourages professional development and regularly offers in-services and one on one training opportunities.
