Peacock Centre provides services to people experiencing distress and is a 24 hr service.

The role:
Assist nursing and allied health professional staff in general daily care of consumers including bathing, dressing, feeding and personal care.
Participate in and assists with the supervision of consumer activities as requested by nursing staff and allied health staff.
Participate in and assists consumers with their rehabilitation and recovery programs including shopping, meal preparation, serving meals and community access, as requested by nursing staff or allied health staff.
Undertake the Patient Safety Assistant role as and when requested.

Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, shift-worker position working 59 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $60,666 to $63,222 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
Eligibility:

Certificate III/IV in Health Care or equivalent or Health Professional Undergraduate qualification.
Current Driver’s Licence
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

crimes of violence
sex related offences
serious drug offences
crimes involving dishonesty
