Position Profile: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team of Ward Clerks in various positions, including After Hours and weekends.
As a Ward Clerk, you will be responsible for the provision of ward clerical services, reception duties and medical record maintenance including receiving and processing all direct/indirect admissions and discharges for the ward.
Other duties include:
- Coordinate wards’ daily administrative requirements including meal lists and physical resources where necessary.
- Screen incoming correspondence, inter hospital, public and private via phone and in person and direct queries to appropriate personnel.
- Liaise with shift coordinator and advise relevant medical staff of patient admission details.
- Maintains timely and accurate patient related data relating to admission transfers, discharges and bed availability for the ward.
