We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator to join our business.
This role is responsible for leading and managing a small team to ensure the smooth running and day to day operation of the warehouse. Clear communication skills and a strong customer focus is essential.
Your key areas of responsibility:
- Maintaining open lines of communication between key stakeholders including sales, customer service, planning and operations, safety and quality teams to ensure that operational tasks within the Warehouse are completed in accordance with established procedures and to the satisfaction of external and internal customers
- Overseeing warehouse operations and actively work with department personnel to manage.
- Receipting of incoming goods
- Picking of production and sales orders
- Ensuring proper stock rotation
- Inspecting and assuring the quality of goods received and dispatched as required by QA
- Maintaining accurate shipment records
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory movement transactions
- Facilitation of cycle counts, and stock takes to maintain accurate inventory
- Monitoring and eliminating stock wastage
- Booking of any associated freight
- Maintaining and improving system for managing stock locations in the warehouse.
- Working knowledge of export/imports and container loading
- Working to resolve stock accuracy issues and participate in root cause analysis and rectification actions to prevent a recurrence.
- Maintaining a safe and compliant workplace through adherence to our OHS policies, legislative requirements, and company procedures.
- Ensure that good warehousing practices are followed and that corrective actions are implemented as required to correct any deficiencies in this area.
- Lead Improvement initiatives that contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the procedures and documentation that support the warehouse operation.
- Promoting a positive, teamwork focused culture through effective feedback and coaching.
About You
- Knowledge of Warehousing and distribution best practice.
- Min 3-5yrs Supervisor or Team Leader experience in a warehousing/ distribution centre environment (within the food manufacturing industry in highly regarded).
- Knowledge of FIFO inventory system.
- Strong skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Familiarity with QAD or business ERP system for ordering and inventory management.
- Valid Forklift Ticket preferred
- Able to lead and manage a team

In this role you would serve as a subject matter expert in all matters pertaining to stores management, stocktaking, efficiency & support continuous improvement activities.
