Form of workFiddes Australia is the Australian and New Zealand distributor of Fiddes and Sons Timber Coatings. We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Warehouse Assistant to contribute to the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. This position begins as part-time with potential for full-time transition.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, your primary duties will include order dispatching and invoicing, inventory management, and general warehouse tasks. As our work environment is fast-paced and varied, you should thrive in organized chaos and be unafraid to roll up your sleeves!

About the Role
- Part-time role: 2-3 days per week, approximately 15 hours (with some flexibility).
- Mondays and Wednesdays are compulsory; negotiation possible for the third day.
- Your primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting warehouse staff as required
- Picking, packing, and dispatching orders
- Managing inventory and conducting quarterly stocktakes
- Invoicing using Xero accounting software
- Arranging freight bookings via online portals and phone
- Manual handling, including lifting boxes up to 20kg
- Sample preparation, which may involve getting hands dirty
- Operating a walking forklift
- Addressing customer queries via phone
- Maintaining warehouse cleanliness.
