Form of workTeam Unico is hiring a Warehouse Assistant to support the warehouse operations of our distillery, Applewood, and its sister winery, Unico Zelo, at our production site in the Adelaide Hills.

Our family-owned business has been crafting wine from drought-hardy vines with minimal intervention and hyper-aromatic Gin meticulously distilled with the rare botanicals from our native landscape since 2012.

Position Description
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Warehouse Assistant to join us in a part-time role (18 to 25 hours per week) during daytime hours, based at our warehouse in Gumeracha. Days and hours can be flexible to fit into school hours or other commitments and all training will be provided.
A typical day in this role will involve picking and packing customer orders for the online stores, preparing wholesale pallets for shipping and fork lifting incoming and outgoing goods, with a focus on high-quality presentation and accuracy of order fulfilment. The role will also include completing a delivery run in the company van once a week to local Adelaide customers.
You will be reporting to the Head of Operations and providing support with warehouse efficiency, presentation and organisation. Success in this role will be measured by picking accuracy, dispatch timeliness and order presentation.

Preferred qualifications and experience
- Stock management experience
- Valid forklift licence preferred but not essential
- Computer skills including experience with emails
- Drivers licence
- Following safety procedures
Roles and responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily warehouse operations
- Picking, packing and despatch of Australia Post, courier and wholesale orders
- Local delivery runs
- Goods incoming and outgoing
- Forklift driving
- Maintain accurate inventory control and assist with stocktakes
- Efficient warehouse procedures and space utilisation
Other:
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Other matters as directed from time to time

- Reports to the Head of Operations
- Works alongside the Administration Officer
