About the Role
As a Warehouse Assistant you will be responsible for the picking packing and dispatching of goods from our warehouse in a safe manner. Additionally, you may be required to assist the quality assurance team when required to check product quality before dispatch.
What you will do
- Picking and packing of goods and supplies
- Maintain stock and general housekeeping standards
- Ensure labeling accuracy
- Conduct stock takes as required
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times
- Perform bar code scanning and data entry
- Ensure incoming orders are correctly receipted
- Undertake quality assurance testing of appliances
- Other tasks as directed
What you need to succeed
- LO / LF forklift license
- School Certificate
- Ability to work various shifts between the hours of 6:00am to 10:30pm Monday to Saturday
- 1 - 2 years experience working in warehousing / distribution
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work well in team environment
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Formal qualification in warehousing or logistics is desirable
