Warehouse / Factory Assistant

Outdoor World specialises in the design and construction of Large Commercial Steel Structures, Patios & Sheds, but also sells a diverse range of home improvement products. We are a rapidly growing business with customers throughout the Perth metropolitan area. An exciting new opportunity now exists for a Warehouse/Factory Assistant to join our team.

To be successful in this role you must have excellent communication skills, the ability to liaise with suppliers, customers and staff members at all levels, and self-motivation. You must also strive to exceed customer expectations. Previous experience in warehousing/factory settings is preferred. 

Our business has customers throughout Perth so you will be required to drive and must hold a current manual "C" Class Driver's License.

Job duties and responsibilities of the role include:

• Receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries / goods inwards;
• Loading and unloading trucks/trailers/utes by forklift (forklift ticket preferred but training and certification is available for suitable applicants);
• Assist in picking up any required materials from suppliers;
• Assist in the delivery of materials to site;
• Assist in providing general factory labour - picking of fixings, consolidation of components into delivery packs;
• Provide assistance to the Warehouse/Factory Manager;
• Perform all duties in accordance with Outdoor World’s policies, processes, systems and procedures.

The Warehouse/Factory Assistant must also be able to demonstrate the following:
