About the Role
We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Warehouse Leading hand at the Wilpinjong mine near Mudgee. The mine is an open-cut mine located 50 kilometres northeast of Mudgee producing a high quality thermal coal for export and domestic markets.
In this role you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the warehouse and inventory to deliver adequate supply of parts to the maintenance and operations team.
What you will be doing
• In support of the Warehouse Supervisor, provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to the Warehouse team.
• Routine management of cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and SOX compliance is achieved.
• Routine management of Rotatable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Perform core function duties associated with routine running of the warehouse as required; e.g. Receipt, Dispatch, Reservation Management etc
• Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback to peers on a regular basis.
• Acting Supervisor duties as required.
What you need:
The successful candidate must have a current Driver's License and Forklift Ticket along with a minimum of 2 years experience as a Warehouse Operator/Leading Hand within a maintenance warehouse environment.
The following skills are also required:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Microsoft Office
• SAP experience (desirable but not required)
• Experience in accounting software & ERP systems
• Demonstrated history of providing high level customer service
• S1,2,3 (desirable but not required)
• Successful candidate will have a positive attitude with a continuous improvement approach to the workplace and motivated to achieve.
